Endodontics

The root canal is a treatment to remove the affected pulp tissue of the tooth and replace it with an inorganic filler to ensure internal tightness of the piece.

What is intended is internally clean the piece, in its root canals, infected tissue, necrotic… in order to leave the piece as aseptic as possible and isolate it from the rest of the body.

Steps of a root canal

  1. Diagnosis
  2. Anesthesia
  3. Opening
  4. Isolation
  5. Conductometry
  6. Instrumentation
  7. Shutter
  8. Control

Reasons for needing a root canal

Among the main causes is caries or periodontal disease. The interior of the tooth (pulp) contains blood vessels and nerves that can become infected by bacteria and injury. Be alert when a tooth begins to change colour, it hurts to chew or has great sensitivity to cold or heat.
